Senate Motions for February 1, 2017
 

The following motions were approved by Senate at its meeting on February 1, 2017:


THAT the list of graduands provided to the University Secretary by the Registrar be approved, subject to the right of Deans and Directors to initiate late changes with the Registrar up to February 3, 2017.

THAT the minutes of the Senate meeting held on January 4, 2017 be approved as circulated.

THAT Senate recommend that the Board of Governors approve the Report of the Senate Committee on Awards – Part B [dated December 20, 2016].

THAT Senate approve curriculum and course changes for the baccalauréat en service social (Bachelor of Social Work), Université de Saint-Boniface, with curriculum changes to take effect September 1, 2017 and changes to the admission requirements to take effect for the Fall 2018 intake.

THAT Senate approve the Report of the Senate Committee on Admissions concerning revised admission requirements for the Doctor of Medicine program, Max Rady College of Medicine, effective for the Fall 2018 intake.

THAT Senate approve the Report of the Senate Committee on Admissions concerning a modification to the calculation for the Adjusted Grade Point Average for admission to the Doctor of Medicine program, Max Rady College of Medicine, effective for the Fall 2018 intake.

THAT Senate approve the Report of the Senate Committee on Admissions concerning equivalency of “Manitoba Resident” for residents of the Territories, for the purpose of admission to the Doctor of Medicine program, Max Rady College of Medicine, effective for the Fall 2018 intake.

THAT Senate recommend that the Board of Governors approve the Report of the Senate Committee on Academic Review concerning a proposal to establish an Institute for Leadership Development, for a period of five years, with continuation subject to a review process.

THAT Senate recommend that the Board of Governors approve the Report of the Senate Committee on University Research concerning a proposal for a Chair in Leadership Education.

THAT Senate recommend that the Board of Governors approve the Report of the Senate Committee on University Research concerning a proposal for a Chair in Leadership Research.
