Senate Motions for September 8, 2010
The following motions were approved by the Senate at its meeting on September 8, 2010.

 

THAT Senate elect Dean Brian Postl, Faculty of Medicine to the Senate Executive Committee for a term ending May 31, 2011.

THAT the minutes of the Senate meeting held on June 23, 2010 be approved as circulated.

THAT Senate approve the Report of the Senate Committee on Admissions [dated June 10, 2010] regarding the requirement of a Health Care Provide CPR Certification for admission to the Athletic Therapy undergraduate program in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management.

THAT Senate approve the Report of the Senate Committee on Instruction and Evaluation [dated June 10, 2010] regarding the use of the 'discipline' grade comment and the use of the ‘comments’ function on student history.

THAT Senate approve the Report of the Senate Committee on Instruction and Evaluation [dated June 10, 2010] regarding revisions to the VW limit in School Experience Courses, the minimum passing grade, and progression degree GPA for Post-Baccalaureate Diploma and Internationally Educated Teachers Program, Faculty of Education.

THAT Senate approve the Report of the Senate Committee on Instruction and Evaluation [dated June 10, 2010] regarding modifications to the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences Dean's Honour Roll.

THAT Senate approve the Report of the Senate Committee on Awards – Part B [dated July 5, 2010] regarding the Lee Dunlop Anderson Centennial Bursary.

THAT Senate approve the Report of the Senate Committee on Curriculum and Course Changes [dated March 17, 2010] regarding the proposal for a Bachelor of Science (Major) and Co-Op Major Degree in Genetics.

THAT Senate approve the Report of the Senate Committee on Rules and Procedures [dated May 18, 2010] regarding revisions to the Faculty of Medicine Faculty Council By-law.

THAT Senate approve the Report of the Senate Committee on Academic Dress [dated September 8, 2010] regarding the Master of Public Health and the Master of Physician Assistant Studies.

THAT Senate approve the Report of the Senate Committee on Nominations [dated September 8, 2010].
