Flexible Course Options

The division of Extended Education develops and delivers off-campus degree credit and non-degree courses, on-campus summer session courses, distance and online courses, as well as an extensive list of certificate programs. Extended Education offers flexible programs and timeslots to help students achieve their potential. Students include professionals, new learners, Indigenous communities, Canadian Forces personnel and international students.

  • U of M is home to Canada’s oldest Military Support Office, which assists Canadian Forces personnel in accessing a university education on a part-time basis.
  • Aboriginal Focus Programs offer post-secondary and professional development courses to over 20 communities throughout Manitoba each year.
  • Extended Education and the Faculty of Arts now offer students who have some post secondary education the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Arts Integrated Studies.
