Community Engagement

The university is recognized as a vital hub for educational, cultural, social and recreational activities. Our campuses are open to all who wish to learn and grow – whether by obtaining a degree, participating in life long learning, or enjoying a concert, public lecture or sporting event. In addition:

  • Researchers and faculty explore opportunities and share knowledge with partners in the community, government and other educational institutions.
  • Our experts regularly contribute to the public discourse on a wide range of topics through the local and national media.
  • Lectures and speaker series’ held both on and off campus provide opportunities for the public to gain insight into our vast array of research activities.

Over 6,000 children visit the University of Manitoba annually to take part in Mini U – a comprehensive day camp packed with opportunities for educational, artistic and athletic discovery on campus.
