PLOT: Can it genuinely be said that a family is torn apart when they were never truly together to begin with? This is one of the questions posed by this made-for-cable drama adapted from the novel by Joyce Carol Oates. Outwardly the picture of domestic perfection, the Mulvaneys reveal the truth about themselves when their daughter Marianne is sexually assaulted. The story is told from the viewpoint of the youngest Mulvaney son, who pays the heavy emotional toll along with the rest of his family.
