U of M Alumni Abroad

Dr. David Barnard, President, University of Manitoba, poses with a grad from 1950. Dr. Barnard offered the class of 1950 the convocation they never received due to the 1950 flood in the Province of Manitoba.
Every year, the University of Manitoba is home to hundreds of students from all over the world. As students return home upon graduation, or as they move to other countries to pursue new opportunities, they expand our University of Manitoba community to the far corners of the globe. We would like our alumni to know that wherever they are, they are still an important part of this University. We welcome them to stay in touch, be involved, and remember that they are a part of the University of Manitoba’s impact on our world.
1.4.1 University of Manitoba Alumni Association The Alumni Association plays an integral role in the institution, in the lives of its alumni and the communities in which they live. In collaboration with other units on campus, it works toward "creating a vibrant, competitive university and research centre in which students excel, and then as successful alumni, continue to actively participate in and support their alma mater--demonstrating pride and a strong commitment with ongoing gifts of their time, expertise and dollars".
1.4.2 International Student Recruitment: The University of Manitoba regularly participates in educational fairs and workshops around the world. Our teams will visit a number of different countries in any given year. Contact UM Student Recruitment to find out if a University of Manitoba representative is coming to a city near you.
