Receiving your entrance award
If you are registered in both Fall and Winter Terms in at least an 80% course load (equivalent of 24 credit hours) and meet the eligibility requirements for an entrance award, your award will be disbursed into your tuition fee account at the end of August. To accept your award, log in to your Aurora student account (Aurora Classic), select "Student awards and financial aid," and follow the instructions provided.
If your award covers more than your tuition for the Fall Term, any excess will be applied to your Winter term tuition, reducing what is due in early January.
If you drop a class and fall below 24 credit hours (or an 80% course load), the University can take up to the full amount of the award back. If you have questions about whether you will be in jeopardy of losing your award due to course withdrawal, call us at 204-474-9534 for more information.
Award cheques provided by external donors are processed through the Cashier’s Office (Room 138 UMSU University Centre).
